Di Nico’s Pizza was Stop 41 on our 52 week tour of La Grange restaurants and food establishments.

Thank you to Bob Vear, Don Gay and John Tuohy for getting to Di Nico’s (now rebranded as Nonna’s) early to save tables to beat the mad rush of students that had a half-day at Lyons Township High School. I wonder what was going through the minds of the younger generation as they saw 14 adults dominating the scene.

Not to worry, this nimble group had a contingency plan in place just in case the younger crowd beat us to the tables. Thank you Nancy Cummings and the La Grange Business Association for another option.

It was yet another great group this week, as we were joined by Anna Wagler, Sarah Parkes, Phil Fulton, Charity Jones, Jim Walls, Robert Vear, Bill Carney, John Tuohy, Nancy Cummings, Karen Lynch, Bob Smith, Mike Zaura and Renata Suerth (not pictured).

Pizza was the food of choice by most of the group. However, my chicken sandwich and the beef sandwiches received some thumbs up. I certainly will be back for a sandwich.

The window is closing as we have only 11 stops left. Join us before it’s too late.

Next week, we’re heading to Yau’s Place for Stop 42. Join us for lunch on Wednesday, February 12th at noon. Hope to see you there!
