Stop 27 of the 52 Week Tour of La Grange Restaurants and Food Establishments at Grapevine Mediterranean Gourmet Cafe

Jury Duty took our Pied Piper of the La Grange Restaurant tour away from us today. But neither that nor the weather could stop Joan Smothers, Karen Lynch, Sarah Parkes, Jim Walls, Steve Palmer, Mike Zaura, Joe Kroc and Phil Fulton from Stop 27 of the restaurant tour.

Grapevine Mediterranean Cafe provided the perfect spot to enjoy a warm bowl of lemon, chicken and rice soup (a big hit), and outstanding sandwiches – including the ham and brie and the Forn(ar)o Panini. Steve Palmer’s order of the baked chicken and pasta might have been the winner. Huge salads and a combo platter of pastichio, dolmades and spanakopita were some of the other great meals enjoyed.

Thanks to Pete and the staff at Grapevine for a great lunch. Everyone truly enjoyed it. Jim Walls commented he will be coming back just for the great selection of beers and wine.
