Stop 21 of the 52 Week Tour of La Grange Restaurants and Food Establishments at Sammy’s Deli

Sammy’s Deli was Stop 21 on our 52 week tour of La Grange restaurants and food establishments.

It was a beautiful afternoon in Kiwanis Park, and we were joined by Mike Zaura, Karen Lynch, Bill Carney, Jim Walls, Joe Kroc, Nancy Cummings, Don Gay, Kathy Dierkes, Sally Nauss, newcomer Kevin McGrier (not pictured) and Karin Carney (newcomer and designated picture taker).

Sammy was in the zone making the sandwiches with a smile. Joe Kroc proudly showcased his enormous sandwich. The fresh chicken salad was also delicious.

Bill Carney really went the extra mile this week supplying the flowers, candles, blankets, tables and decoration to make our experience more enjoyable. Thank you to Sally Nauss as well for the eggplant and cucumbers from her garden as a parting gift.

Next week, come dine with us at Aurelio’s Pizza on Wednesday, September 25th at noon. We will pre-order some pizzas so we can eat right away. Hope to see you there!
