La Buona Vita was Stop 16 on our 52 week tour of La Grange restaurants and food establishments.
Our hosts started us out with some peach bruschetta on the house. A few of us fought over the extra ones. A very tasty selection developed by Tina. We had some flavorful mojito cocktails which resulted in a donation to the Leadershop. Thank you Jim and Tina.
It was a fish oriented group with many enjoying the salmon and calamari salads while others went for the tasty meatball salad (Nancy is so predictable when we eat Italian food). I was pleasantly surprised to see the pepper and egg sandwich on the menu outside of the lenten season.
We had another big crowd with Karen Lynch, Sally Nauss, Kathy Dierkes, Philip Fulton, Lori Rimkus Donahoe, August Domanchuk (new to the tour), owner Jim Barron, unknown waver, Sarah Parkes (new to the tour), Jim Walls, Bill Bill Carney, Philip Fornaro, Nancy Cummings, John Tuohy (new to the tour), Dean Bissias, and manager Tina Marconi.
Mexican food awaits us on Wednesday, August 21st at noon at Santiagos.
