Moeed Saeed
Attorney | Outside General Counsel
Moeed Saeed brings more than 15 years of experience spanning law, business strategy, and enterprise transformation to Fornaro Law. He works with business owners, entrepreneurs, family offices, and corporate teams on matters involving contracts, corporate governance, commercial transactions, real estate, healthcare, and other issues that arise in the day-to-day operation and growth of a business.
Moeed approaches legal matters from both a legal and business perspective. His focus is not simply on identifying legal risk, but on understanding a client’s objectives, evaluating the practical implications of available options, and helping clients make informed decisions that move their businesses forward. This approach aligns closely with Fornaro Law’s Outside General Counsel model, in which the attorney serves not only as legal counsel, but also as a trusted business advisor.
Earlier in his career, Moeed founded and served as Managing Attorney of DuPage Attorneys, where he grew the firm from a solo practice to an eight-attorney organization. His practice included business and transactional matters, contracts, healthcare compliance, and advisory work for physicians, healthcare organizations, entrepreneurs, and small and midsized businesses. As a firm owner, he also gained firsthand experience with the operational, financial, and strategic challenges faced by business owners.
In addition to his legal practice, Moeed has advised organizations on business strategy, organizational transformation, technology, and complex enterprise initiatives. His prior experience includes work with McKinsey & Company, Capital One, Rio Tinto, and organizations across healthcare, life sciences, financial services, technology, and other industries. This experience allows him to bring an operator’s perspective to legal issues and to work effectively with executives and stakeholders across legal, financial, operational, and commercial functions.
Moeed also has a particular interest in the evolving intersection of law and artificial intelligence. He advises on Legal AI strategy, responsible AI governance, technology adoption, and the use of emerging tools to improve legal and business workflows while appropriately managing issues involving confidentiality, privacy, accuracy, intellectual property, and risk.
Moeed earned his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology and his undergraduate degree from Benedictine University. He is admitted to practice law in Illinois.
Outside the practice of law, Moeed is active in community and youth initiatives and has helped build and lead youth athletic programming. He enjoys bringing the same emphasis on development, problem-solving, and continuous learning to his community involvement that he brings to his work with clients.
